RBI - Grade B Mains Admit Card 2026 - Download Call Letter

The RBI Grade B Phase 1 call letter was released on 5th June 2026, ahead of the Phase 1 examination held on 13th June 2026. The call letter was made available through the official RBI recruitment portal and candidates were required to log in with their registration credentials to access it. This section also applies to candidates of DEPR and DSIM posts, whose Phase 1 exam was scheduled for 14th June 2026.

The Phase 1 exam is qualifying in nature only scores from this stage are used solely to shortlist candidates for Phase 2 (Mains). Marks from Phase 1 do not contribute to the final merit list.

With Phase 1 completed, all attention now turns to the RBI Grade B Phase 2 Mains Admit Card 2026, which is expected to be released in July 2026, ahead of the Mains exam scheduled on 25th July 2026 for General posts and 26th July 2026 for DEPR/DSIM posts. RBI typically releases the Mains hall ticket approximately 7 to 10 days before the exam date, so candidates should watch the official website closely during the second week of July.

The Mains exam is a comprehensive paper that tests a candidate's knowledge of Economic and Social Issues, Finance and Management, and English Writing Skills. Unlike Phase 1, Phase 2 marks are directly counted in the final selection.

Downloading the RBI Grade B call letter is a straightforward process. The same steps apply for both Phase 1 (already released) and Phase 2 (upcoming). Follow the steps below to access your hall ticket from the official website.

Step 1: Visit the official RBI recruitment portal at https://opportunities.rbi.org.in/ ↗

Step 2: Look for the admit card link under the "Call Letter" section select the link for the relevant phase (Phase 1 or Phase 2).

Step 3: A login page will appear on your screen.

Step 4: Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth / Password in the respective fields.

Step 5: Click on the Submit button. Your RBI Grade B Admit Card 2026 will be displayed on the screen.

Step 6: Carefully verify all the details printed on the call letter name, roll number, exam centre, and shift timing.

Step 7: Download and take at least 2 printouts to carry on exam day.

Step 8: Read all exam day instructions mentioned on the call letter before the examination.

After downloading the admit card, candidates must cross-check the following details to ensure everything is accurate. If any discrepancy is found, it must be reported to RBI's recruitment authorities immediately.

The call letter will contain the following information:

Candidate's Name, Roll Number and Registration Number, Photograph and Signature, Date of Birth, Category (UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD), Post Applied For, Exam Date and Shift Timing, Reporting Time and Gate Closing Time, Exam Centre Name, Address, and Code, and Important Exam Day Instructions.

Carrying the right documents to the examination centre is mandatory. Entry will not be granted if the candidate fails to produce valid identity proof along with the printed admit card.

Every candidate must bring the following on exam day:

Printed copy of the RBI Grade B Admit Card 2026, 2 recent passport-size photographs, one valid original Photo ID proof such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving Licence, and a photocopy of the same Photo ID.

The Phase 1 exam for General posts was conducted on 13th June 2026 in a single shift. Candidates were required to arrive at the exam centre well before the gate closing time. The general shift schedule for the exam is outlined below.

Understanding the exam pattern helps candidates prepare effectively for both phases of the selection process. The RBI Grade B selection consists of Phase 1 (Prelims), Phase 2 (Mains), and an Interview round.

Phase 1 Exam Pattern - Objective Type (Qualifying)

Phase 1 is a 2-hour online objective exam carrying 200 marks across 200 questions. Since it is only qualifying, candidates must clear it to advance to Mains, but these marks do not count toward the final score.

Phase 2 (Mains) Exam Pattern - Objective + Descriptive

Phase 2 is the main scoring round with 300 marks spread across 3 papers. Both objective and descriptive components are tested. Marks from this stage directly determine the final merit list.

RBI has issued specific instructions that every candidate must follow on exam day. Non-compliance may result in disqualification from the examination.

Candidates must reach the exam centre before the gate closing time without fail. Biometric verification including thumb impression and photograph capture will be conducted at the centre. Ensure your name on the admit card matches exactly with your photo ID. Wearing clothes with metal items, large buttons, or accessories that could trigger security checks should be avoided. Electronic devices including mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, and books are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. The exam centre and date allotted on the call letter are final no requests for change of centre, date, or session will be entertained.
