Bank of Baroda - Guest Player Recruitment 2026

Applicants must have passed at least the 10th Standard from a recognised board.

Applicants must be local club-level players and satisfy at least one of the following sports achievement requirements:

• Represented a State, Union Territory or India in a national or international competition; or
• Won a medal in the Junior National Championships; or
• Won a medal in the Khelo India Youth Games in an age category above 18 years; or
• Won a medal in the Khelo India Winter Games; or
• Won a medal in the Khelo India University Games; or
• Won a medal in the School Games Federation of India competition in the relevant sport; or
• Represented a university in an Inter-University Tournament conducted by the Inter-University Sports Board; or
• Represented a State or Union Territory school team in national school sports or games conducted by the All India School Games Federation.

Every selected Guest Player will receive a monthly retainership or stipend of Rs. 25,000.

Players may also receive other financial benefits admissible under the existing Sports Policy of Bank of Baroda.

• The retainership period will be 12 months.
• The engagement is purely temporary and contractual.
• Selected players must represent Bank of Baroda in tournaments and events whenever required during the engagement period.
• The engagement does not create an employer-employee relationship for regular employment.
• Engagement as a Guest Player does not provide any right to regular appointment or absorption in Bank of Baroda.

The Bank of Baroda Guest Player selection process consists of:

1. Scrutiny and shortlisting of applications according to the eligibility criteria
2. Field Trials for shortlisted applicants
3. Preparation of the final merit list

Candidates must obtain at least 50 marks out of 100 to qualify. The final merit list will be prepared in descending order based on the marks secured by eligible applicants.

If two or more applicants obtain equal marks, preference will be given in the following order:

1. Players who represented India in an international competition with clearance from the Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
2. Players who represented a State or Union Territory in recognised Senior or Junior National Championships or National Games and secured a medal or position up to third place.
3. Players who won a medal or position up to third place in an Inter-University competition or Khelo India University Games.
4. Players who won a medal or position up to third place in the Khelo India Youth Games or Khelo India Winter Games.
5. Players who won a medal or position up to third place while representing a State or Union Territory school team in national school games.
6. Players who participated at the prescribed level but did not win a medal, in the same order of preference.

If the tie continues, preference will be given to the player who secured a higher position or won more than one medal. If it still continues, the younger applicant will receive preference.

• Field trials will be conducted at a designated venue in Mumbai.
• The field trial date, time and venue will be sent separately to eligible applicants through their registered email addresses.
• Shortlisted applicants will receive a unique registration number.
• Candidates must attend the field trials at their own expense.
• Requests to change the trial date, time or venue will ordinarily not be accepted.
• Candidates must bring original certificates and self-attested copies for verification.

1. Download the prescribed application form provided as Annexure A of the advertisement.
2. Select Cricket, Table Tennis Men or Table Tennis Women.
3. Enter the role or specialisation for which you are applying.
4. Complete the personal, educational, sports and local club details.
5. Attach clear scanned copies of all required certificates and documents.
6. Sign the completed application form.
7. Send the application form and documents by email to [email protected] ↗.
8. Submit the email on or before 28 September 2026.

The email subject must be written in the following format:

• Duly filled and signed application form
• Recent passport-size photograph
• Proof of date of birth
• 10th Standard pass certificate or mark sheet
• Valid photo identity proof
• Sports qualification certificates, awards or medal records
• National, international, State, university, Khelo India or school-level participation certificates, as applicable
• Brief sports profile or bio-data containing sporting achievements
• Local club or team details
• Mumbai Cricket Association registration number for Cricket applicants, where applicable
• Table Tennis Federation of India ID for Table Tennis applicants, where applicable
• Any other relevant document supporting the candidature

• Applications will be accepted through email only.
• Applicants must satisfy all eligibility requirements as on 23 September 2026.
• The application form and supporting documents must be complete, clear and readable.
• Incomplete applications or applications without supporting documents may be rejected.
• Candidature will remain provisional until the applicant's eligibility and original documents are verified.
• False information or suppression of material facts may result in cancellation of candidature.
• Selected Guest Players must remain physically fit throughout the retainership period.
• Selected players must represent the Bank's sports team whenever and wherever required.
• Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
• The Bank may modify the selection procedure, eligibility criteria, vacancies or role-wise requirements.
• The decision of Bank of Baroda regarding eligibility, field trials, selection and engagement will be final.
